The cold bones of the martyrs

On the ancient way

(“feel the burn”, 13 June 2026)

Click Clack and Tap Tap

A Tango in the teahouse

Over the empty lake

(“music of summertime”, 12 June 2026)

Driving down the highway,

The oleander flowers

Wave arrivederci

(“Everything in Bloom”, 01 June 2026)

My very first haiku submission was selected by the publication Haiku Girl Summer.

A spritz at the beach

A Glass encrusted with sand

Aperol Sunset

(“Beach Bodies”, 30 Aug. 2025)

Four Seasons on the Italian Peninsula

These haiku were written while I was creating my seasonal haiku film series, which you can find on the documentary film page of this site.

Sitting on the altar

the cat becomes one with all.

Little god of spring.

Amid summer fields,

the aqueducts dream of rain

against the blue sky.

Water drops and leaves

falling into the old pond.

Autumn symphony.

Oranges ripen.

The gardeners advance while

the frost retreats.
